I've been pulling apart tech since I was old enough to reach a keyboard. That curiosity never went away. It just got more expensive. When I wanted a home security setup that didn't come with a monthly subscription, I went deeper than I planned. Lights, sensors, hubs, vacuums. Months of testing later, I had a short list I trusted and a much longer one I'd never recommend to anyone.
Friends kept asking. I kept sending the list. Eventually it made more sense to just build the shop.
